What is a session?
A session takes about an hour and a half.
A session starts with a brief introductory talk. We focus on what requires your attention most at that moment. This may be a physical complaint, an event or a theme in your life.
We continue the session on the chair or on the massage table. I invite you to experience what presents itself without judgment. By being there with our attention, we discover what has taken hold, both in the body and mentally, in the form of developed thought patterns and survival mechanisms. You gain insight and clarity into what is going on. You become more aware of the relationship that exists between your thinking and feeling.
Rebalancing®
Rebalancing is a profound form of bodywork.
It has emerged from the realization that the body and mind are inseparably connected. It involves touching with attention, being curious, and exploring what lives within you. Becoming aware of the relationship between your physical- and mental tensions.
In our lives, we accumulate experiences and form beliefs that we live by. All experiences and beliefs have an effect on our body, each body has its own unique story. You often unconsciously tense certain muscles and you can also notice it in your breathing – you breathe less or more quickly. This consumes a lot of energy and throws the body off its natural balance. The effects of this can manifest as psychological and/or physical symptoms such as stress, negative feelings, burnout, fatigue, neck, shoulder, and/or back pain.
Rebalancing is about restoring your natural balance.
It makes you aware of what lives within you. You don't have to change; you can make space for what lives within you.
In an atmosphere of safety, trust, and respect, I guide you on this journey. I use touch and massage techniques, self-exploration, and meditation. I invite you to go beyond thinking, to experience without judgement what arises. The transition from thinking to feeling to being is to be made. This brings relaxation and insight. You can let go of old patterns; the energy needed to sustain them becomes available. Space is created for new things in your life!
In the process of rebalancing, your old balance is 'disturbed' so that a new balance can emerge that better suits who you are now.
